Every week, the kindergarten students at Palmerston District Primary School look forward to Friday, when their favourite elderly friend, June comes to visit. It’s a heart-warming initiative that unites two generations to create the strongest of friendships ❤

Our new Kindergarten and preschool students were greeted by Palmy, our school mascot. They then took a walk around the school to try and find Palmy and learn about our whole school expectations. 🌴 #saferespectfullearners

On this International Day of Education we celebrate our teaching staff who will be welcoming students back into their classrooms from Monday 1 February. We hope all our teachers had a restorative break over the summer holiday.

Prior to remote learning in term 2, Peta-Gai Faulkner visited student’s homes to teach the students and often their parents, for whom English is their second language, how to learn in an online environment. Her approach was instrumental to her students thriving during 2020.
