Bye, #bluecheck. It was fun while it lasted, but I’m not playing @elonmusk’s woefully shortsighted game. Twitter became lesser today.

Talking with #NicolasCage about the inspirations for his Dracula in @renfieldmovie. They include Lugosi, Jagger, Anne Bancroft and his own father. Let me explain:

He is, unquestionably, among the most iconic characters in cinema history, one whose presence — since established by Bela Lugosi in 1931 — has remained an indelible part of American

For a wink starting in 1940, New Orleanians didn't have to go to Route 66 to get their kicks. They could have fun close to home on Route 61 (aka Airline Highway), where Wigwam Village No. 3 served as a roadside attraction for 14 years.

Some would hail it as roadside kitsch. Others might dismiss it as culturally insensitive.

Audience members watching the credits of “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” at an advance screening today. In #NOLA. I think they liked it. (I did, too, actually. Review to come.) #dungeonsanddragons #DungeonsAndDragonsHonorAmongThieves #movies

The @Netflix political thriller series “The Night Agent,” starring #NOLA’s own Hong Chau, isn’t as good as “Jack Ryan” but better than “Jack Reacher,” although its closest analog is probably Jack Bauer of “24.” Let me explain:

Hong Chau is having a moment, and it’s not one of those 15 minutes-of-fame moments, either.

Before it was a schoolhouse, the building that now houses Homer A. Plessy Community School was occupied by a theater linked to one of the city’s more persistent racial myths.

I not only feel your pain. I live it. Two big, beautiful oaks loom over my pool, which apparently identifies as swamp. Thinking about just accepting it and filling it with duckweed and water hyacinth. #NOLA
I loved growing up with pool in the backyard. But some sadistic pool builder built said pool under oak trees and let me tell you how much that sucked.
