We took part at the #SchlauRaum science festival in #Münster’s city center. PhD students, project seminar students and student assistants showcased research on #psychomotor skills, #movementanalysis, and sport in old age to a diverse and curious audience. #movementscience🎉

‘Physical Activity and Healthy Longevity’ - Guests from France, Belgium, Israel - Planning for Erasmus Mundus.Together with @MichelAUDIFFREN (Poitiers), @IvanBautmans (Brussels) and Yael Netz (Wingate) we planned the new Erasmus Mundus Joint Master from July 7 to 9.

We welcomed students from Kopernikus Gymnasium (Rheine) and their Finnish partner school “Sotunkin Lukio” as part of an ERASMUS+ project. In our movement lab, they explored balance and motion experiments using force plates and motion capture - true to the motto: “Sport connects.”

During our annual #GirlsDay, we presented the work sector #movementscience to girls interested in this field. By participating in small #experiments and learning about their #scientific foundations, the girls got an exciting insight into #sportscience in the #OpenLab.

The Tech-Werkstatt Leistungssport was a great success! Scientists & enthusiasts from across Germany exchanged ideas with industry partners. A tech exhibition showcased innovations, while talks, panels & workshops explored new tech applications in competitive sports. #TechSport

Our annual ‘sport science meets school’ project was successfully completed by our M.Ed. students and 9th graders from Hopsten. They conducted sport #scientific #research on the standing long jump and whether the arms create helpful #momentum. A great experience for both parties!

Update on the #AgeWell Study: the pre-tests have now been successfully completed with 43 subjects. All study participants are now in the 8-week digital #intervention phase, in which they complete #training videos twice a week and watch a #health education workshop once a week.

Two info events on the #AgeWell Europe study were held in #Münster in December 2024. The interest was so high that the study has now started with the required 40 participants. Pre-tests will take place until the end of January.
