Suggestion for X on the 'for you' page, and this wouldn't be hard to do: Give us the ability to clear the current criteria, and maybe suggest keywords. I was dumb enough to respond to a Candace Owens thread, and now I'm up to my eyeballs in tinfoil hats and conspiracy theories.

The evening's 4k Ultra entertainment. They Live isn't the sort of film that benefits from HDR. It's just such a classic that I had to have the best possible copy. Roddy Piper, not an actor (at least not on film) turning in quite a good performance. A soundtrack that consists

What with June Lockhart's passing, I thought I'd look up Barbara Eden. Found I Dream Of Jeannie episodes on youtube, hadn't seen this since I was 10, and they're a lot funnier than I remember. Or I was taking it seriously as a kid.

Boys and their toys... just replaced the rather scuffed up wheels on my anti-SUV (Cadillac CTS wagon) with these Cadillac sport wheels... This is guy jewelry. Ladies wear them on their ears and hanging from their neck, we wear them on our cars, and wrists.

Another 5.1 surround sound disc find... used, $20. Normally Joni's falsetto voice drives me nuts, but this is her at an older age, more relaxed, and wiser. Good album. Good 5.1 remix. Definitely a keeper.

Another surround sound find. In the post Waters era, Pink Floyd recorded a group of sessions, never released, that were informally called The Big Bong Theory. When Richard Wright died, they were released as The Endless River, later in a disc set that includes a 5.1 DVD. It's an

Got my renewal notice for X for the blue check... $400. Are you shitting me? Apparently not. So, goodbye blue check, and it's back to the shadows.

Some interesting history I just came across... Louis Renault, who started the automobile company of his name and by the 1930's was quite wealthy, openly collaborated with the Germans after France was defeated, building over 10,000 vehicles for the German army. At war's end, he

Another bargain surround sound disc find - The Band: The Last Waltz. I hadn't paid much attention to this album in my youth, and grabbed it recently because it was relatively inexpensive for a 5.1 disc: $20. Short conclusion: It's a wicked good album, with an unexpectedly

Picked up another cult classic... a collaboration between Ralph Bakshi and Frank Frazetta. This one dates to 1983. Sort of like the Heavy Metal episode Denn, done as a feature length.

Damn, damn, damn! Tom Lehrer has died. And no, he doesn't have the juiciest, spiciest, raciest obituary that it has ever been my pleasure to read.

I took advantage of Amazon prime days to grab a few 4k Ultras on sale. My rural internet is a bit poky, high res streaming can get laggy, so I look for 4k discs that are either visually spectacular, or really inexpensive, or such a great film that I gotta have the best copy.

Bought two cases of MRE's during prime days, for when we get the occasional power outage here in the boonies. I was going to try one out, then the rest of the house joined in, and... pretty decent. I had Italian Sausage With Peppers, and it was a bit spicy. Not bad at all. Not

Scrapping is beginning on the world's oldest cruise ship, the Astoria, 77 years old. History fans may remember Astoria under a previous name: Stockholm. This was the ship that rammed and sank the Andrea Doria.

I noticed an unusually high level of fireworks activity on the part of people this year. Seems like they were going off everywhere. Take that, nihilists! We're still having parties.

Check it out, music lovers... this is the 25th anniversary 5.1 surround sound remix. Rare to find this one, even more rare to find it at a not astronomical price. It has been interesting to discover surround sound music. Big boost in quality - a good 5.1 mix floods the car with

What is this bullshit? First, after buying their blue check, they cut my engagement about a month ago. Now, they say I'm spamming. I reviewed my activity... nothing unusual, just the typical smartass comments. I am not paying money to be insulted.
