Today we gathered in the hall with 2nd - 6th classes to honour our 5th Class Robotics Team. The team won the The VEX IQ Judges Award in Co. Offaly earlier this month. The boys showcased their skills and encouraged others to join the club.

Literacy Lift Off in Mount Sion is a 6 week programme. It runs each day for 50 minutes and each child enjoys a tailored 10 minute lesson in reading, writing, digital literacy and word work/spelling. @ERSTIRELAND @FolensEducation @Education_Ire @PDST_TechinEd @PDSTLiteracy

The ARC has landed @MountSionGAA.The Aquaculture Remote Classroom is a mobile classroom which has been designed to raise young people’s awareness of aquaculture. Our 5th and 6th classes will spend a day each learning in the ARC. #Excited @BordIascMhara

A month ago, four of these lads had never played a game on a #GAA pitch! A YouTube clip of David Clifford, followed by a quick yard tutorial of how to rise & handpass & now Yago 🇧🇷 Yakin 🇦🇫 Josep 🇭🇷 & Zahid 🇵🇰 have helped propel us to the final v Rathgormack! What a journey!

It was with great shock & sadness that we learned today of the sudden passing of @LiamCahill2013 Liam epitomised so much of what it meant to be "of Sion" & we'll miss him & his support so much. A brilliant man in so many ways. Condolences to Liam's family. Suaimhneas síoraí dó.
Liam Cahill deserves praise for many good reasons. Proud to have known him as an RTE colleague. Condolences to his family and friends. He wrote knowledgeably about many subjects. This is a lovely personal memory of Waterford hurling. h/t @MountSionGAA

Today our 6th class boys played their last game as the played in the annual Martin O'Grady Shield Final. Martin and Tony of @MountSionGAA Jimmy from @ButlerstownGAA went to a game & never came home. Always our privilege to remember Martin, Tony and Jimmy. #gaa #educationforlife
