Thank you to Mr. Poremba and the MHS Fighting Cardinal Marching Band for sending several members over to help us celebrate It Starts With Hello Week. The music and movements of the band captivated the students and staff!

Start With Hello week begins as students make a conscious effort to work on their greetings, make new friends, and show gratitude and kindness toward others. Thank you CSJ Greetings for your generous signage this week!

As we prepare to open a new school year, tomorrow (August 14th) we welcome our new Kindergarten class (the Class of 2037) to Sterling Morton. Welcome! It's the start of a great journey!

Sterling Morton is proud to honor Mrs. Sue Fern on her retirement. Mrs. Fern has been a longtime WeCare Coordinator, SuperVolunteer, and a beloved friend to so many. She is a treasure to our school and community!

Congratulations to Sterling Morton on being named a 2024 Hall of Fame School by the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators (OAESA). The teamwork of our students, staff, parents, and community members made this possible!

Our Related Arts Night was a huge success on Thursday with so many families attending. Thank you to our Art, Music, Physical Education and STEAM staff members for making the content come alive for our students!

Well over 100 students and families came to Math Night at Sterling Morton. Students showcased their math knowledge and skills, while showing math can be fun at the same time! A huge thank you to the Morton staff who organized and attended this successful event!

Morton's Principal for a Day Maddie Cole selected Emery Sotka as her assistant. The pair brought treats around to all students, read a story to a class, and awarded staff members two blue jean days. A successful day all the way around!

It's a packed house for the 2nd night of PTA Bingo at Sterling Morton. Huge thanks to PTA for all their work on this event! Also, great staff participation, led by the 1st string bingo callers, Thunder and Lightning!

On this February 29th Leap Day, our beloved mascot Morty emerged from the marsh to celebrate his birthday with all the students and staff at Sterling Morton!

Sterling Morton's 4th graders were "stars of the show" as their talking art museum came to life today!

Sterling Morton's Student Council made our annual visit to Parker Place to deliver hundreds of Valentine's cards from our students. The residents were certainly appreciative!

Sterling Morton's Unit Classrooms are enjoying their annual Valentine's dance, while our 5th grade students are showcasing what they've learned about Chinese New Year. It's a busy Friday at Morton!

Today, Sterling Morton surprised our beloved We Care Leader, Mrs. Sue Fern, on her milestone birthday. She loves our students, staff, and school, and we all love her!

During yesterday's One School-One Book "big reveal," Sterling Morton students were introduced to the classic Charlotte's Web, which will entertain students, staff, and families for the next several weeks!

On Tuesday Sterling Morton's students had the honor of recognizing our Board members as part of Board Appreciation Month. We thanked the them with a video and gave each a framed art piece made out of Headlands beach glass.
