As part of our efforts in school to mark the coronation we officially opened our new garden, had a picnic lunch, played games and danced together outside and created a coin trail- look how well it turned out. #Coronation @RoyalFamily @SBCEducation1

As part of our Scottish Heritage focus P3/4 made their (child-friendly) version of cranachan this week- we promise their was no whiskey in sight! They also discussed how to create a dairy-free alternative so that everyone could be involved.

How incredible- our fundraising efforts through our enterprise project earned £900 for @MaggiesCentres Edinburgh in memory of our teacher. For a school of 53 pupils this is phenomenal. Thank you to our community, family and local businesses for supporting us #ResponsibleCitizens

P3/4 have absolutely loved creating fairy lights using keynote as part of @inspireSBC 12 days of Christmas! They even went home and added some lights to their dog too!🎅🏼🎄 @MorebattleP

Community Links at its best yesterday- the village flower show (the 129th year) featuring produce from school children including the chance to do extra at home. Brilliant to hear comments on the work of our children. “It takes a village to raise a child” #tradition #culture

Primary 1-4 started a collaborative art project this morning with Mr Wilson. We are hoping it will look like an optical illusion when it’s done, similar to this one 🤞🏼hopefully we will post our finished picture soon.

Primary 5-7 made a start today on their competition entries for the upcoming Morebattle Village Flower Show. After years of not being able to do this is was exciting to be getting ready again #community #partnerships

In our first assembly of the year we welcomed our new P1’s. We celebrated some fantastic work and positive attitudes across the school. Remember we love to celebrate wider achievements too- if you have anything from summer we would love to know and get your photo on the wall!

Learning, laughing and getting back into the swing of things. Great to be back together and planning for the year ahead. We will be focussing on raising attainment in writing and outdoor learning, to name a few, which we want to involve our families and community with too!

It’s been a while since we tweeted but it’s the start of a new school year and we are back (and have unlocked the password for the account!) We are looking forward to sharing excellent practice and connecting with our community and colleagues around the Twitter-world!
