Variations of this back-and-forth have gone on for 5 weeks now. @udemy still can’t tell me how a calligraphy or lettering class can be marketed on their platform when they forbid even a single letter from appearing in the course graphics, including hand-drawn letters.

Me: I don’t have ‘text’ in my preview graphics, only random, hand-drawn letters that are part of the class project. @udemy: Our research shows that course graphics with text do not perform as well. Please remove all text from your course graphics before resubmitting your course.

Me, after my class was rejected for having letters in the graphics: Can you please give an example of a lettering class image that doesn’t contain even a single letter? @udemy: Thanks for your message! You can use any image you want. Just make sure it doesn’t have any letters.

So I really can’t teach my lettering classes on @udemy because “no text is allowed in the course images…letters are still text.” I’ve been rejected 5+ times for images that show accurate previews of the course outcomes. I’m giving up after weeks of non answers from their reps.
