On Sun 16 November, there's a ceremony to accept Stagecoach Manchester 19001 which has been returned to original livery by our friends at Stagecoach. We'd love you to come along, so we're running free heritage buses between us and Corporation St, stop NU [not serving Shudehill].

We thought we'd have a rail-themed #ThrowbackThursday this week. This is Broadfield station near Heywood - the line closed to passengers just after the photo was taken, but today the line is part of the East Lancs Railway which is well worth a visit.

Now, we think today's #MysteryMonday location puzzle is hard - unless for you it's easy! Our clue is that the building on the left still stands today. Do you have a clue? If so, tell us and we'll confirm the answer later.

Several people have reported feeling 'odd' or 'a chill' when on 321. You can choose to believe or not that 321 is haunted. If you want to come and have a look, it's on display in our museum. Ask our staff if it's okay to get on board to have a look around - if you dare...

One of our volunteers was in 321, alone, working upstairs at the front. He felt someone watching him and he saw them out of the corner of his eye - it was a little boy, dressed in old-fashioned shorts, shirt and a tank top. The volunteer looked around - and the boy was gone.

It's said that after that, some crews didn't like 321 - there was, they said, 'something' that made it unpopular. That's one reason why it was saved for preservation - it had done fewer miles than other buses in the batch. Fast forward to the 1990s, and 321 is under restoration.

Here's a #Halloween story for you... In 1951, #Stockport Corporation 321 arrived brand new from the Crossley factory just up the road. When it was still relatively new, it knocked down and killed a little boy - we have this in our archives records.

Our #ThrowbackThursday scene isn't that long ago, but it's changed for ever - a GM Buses service on Cannon Street, central Manchester. Almost nothing that you can see in this photo remains today.

Well done if you got it right! This wasn’t our hardest one, it’s at The Trough in Audenshaw (the clue is the trough, visible in the centre of the photo). We’ll be setting a harder one next week…

Electric buses in Manchester aren't new! Trolleybuses operated here until 1966. But as it's #MysteryMonday, we're not saying where this photo was taken. Do you know? Tell us if you think you know, and we'll confirm the answer later.

Please forgive us if our free heritage bus services run a little late from time to time at the event today: roadworks on Queens Road and Rochdale Road are causing some traffic delays. By the way, apologies - EX30 is no longer scheduled to run today.
