Temperatures will warm slightly this weekend compared to what we have been experiencing lately. A clipper passing through the area Saturday evening into Sunday morning has a medium chance (40%) of brining a wintry mix to the area. #stlwx #mowx #ilwx

‼️⚠️There are many slide offs and crashes and traffic is backing up in the St. Louis region ‼️Do not travel and risk getting stuck if you can delay your trip!
Roadways have become very slick across much of the region where snow has already fallen. If snow has not yet begun in your area, be advised that conditions will quickly deteriorate once snow begins. Please heed extra caution! #mowx #ilwx #stlwx

An oldie but a goodie. Without headlights on in blowing snow, it may be difficult to see your vehicle, especially if you are off the roadway. We are responding to numerous crashes and stranded motorists in the KC Metro.
🚨Safety Tip / Requirement 🚨 Missouri Law requires headlights to be on anytime windshield wipers are required. We are seeing a lot of vehicles today w/out lights on. Please, for your safety, turn headlights on. During the day, automatic headlights may not come on by themselves.

Snow has started falling! Road conditions could begin to deteriorate throughout the day, particularly around the noon hour. Make accommodations for the conditions and be sure to give yourself plenty of time to travel and adjust routes if necessary!
6:40 AM Update: This early morning push of snow is likely being driven by an upper level jet streak providing some enhanced "lift." We're re-evaluating the snow forecast right now, as we may have to increase totals a 0.5 to 1.0." #mowx #kswx #KC

Troop F is currently investigating nine crashes in central Missouri. Most of those are along and north of I-70. If you’re heading out today, please leave early and be extremely careful. Slow down, increase your following distance and make sure everyone is buckled up.
