The State Minister @MoPIED_Somalia, H.E. Ahmednur Sheikh Mohamed, chaired the Ministry’s weekly meeting today. Discussions focused on: preparations for next week’s Government Performance; adopting an employee recognition framework; and accelerating joint workplans with partners.

Economic Development Director, Mr. Abdunasir Omar Katib participated in the #EAC Steering Committee Meeting in Arusha, (4–6 Aug 2025) to consider & validate the Draft 7th Development Strategy (2026/27–2030/31), which will guide regional integration & development efforts. #Somalia

The @MoPIED_Somalia today held a strategic meeting with @UNinSomalia’s Resident Coordinator’s Office to strengthen alignment between the #NTP2025_2029 and the upcoming UN Cooperation Framework (2025-2030).

H.E. @HonBeenebeene met with @EU_in_Somalia Amb. Karin Johansson to strengthen 🇸🇴🇪🇺 cooperation and align key programmes with #NTP2025_2029. He thanked the Ambassador for her dedicated service and pivotal role in deepening FGS–EU partnership.

Today, H.E. Minister @HonBeenebeene held a constructive meeting with Dr. Ibrahim M. Mursal, President of @MogUniver, to explore collaboration in development research, statistics & capacity building. Both sides committed to stronger gov–academia ties for evidence-based planning.

DG @Moshireh participated in the 3rd @CentralBankSo Economic Policy Conference, joining a panel on Somalia’s fiscal & debt trajectory in the post-HIPC era. He stressed the need for balanced reforms to restore confidence, drive inclusive growth aligned with #NTP2025_2029. #Somalia
