#15 - Death (1987).Scream Bloody Gore. A toss up with Leprosy, which I actually favor, but for this exercise it’s SBG!. Chuck’s subhuman vocal style & the bludgeoning blend of horror-death-thrash was both energetic & brutal…yet extremely catchy. #MöKnowsMetal.#Top25MetalAlbums

#16 - Angel Witch (1980).Angel Witch. Kevin Heybourne & Co. capturering pure genius in this masterstroke of a debut album! . One of the top handful of greatest & most important albums of the NWOBHM, & a recording that was so far ahead of its time. #MöKnowsMetal.#Top25MetalAlbums

#17 - Celtic Frost (1985).To Mega Therion. Morbid Tales could easily land here, but everything about this album is truly stunning! The otherworldly music, the amazing Giger artwork, but really it’s TGW leaving his undeniable mark on extreme metal!. #MöKnowsMetal.#Top25MetalAlbums

#18 - Accept (1982).Restless And Wild. When there are three or four all-time tracks on an album, there’s a solid chance it lands on a list like this. The classic Udo era was full throttle & the songcraft & musicianship deserved even more praise. #MöKnowsMetal.#Top25MetalAlbums

#19 - Saxon (1982).The Eagle Has Landed (Live). Allows me to cover the classic NWOBHM albums and see Nigel Glockler enter the arena! Biff in rare form as per usual on the Denim and Leather Tour. I wanna see people dyin’ of exhaustion…Allriiight!. #MöKnowsMetal.#Top25MetalAlbums

#20 - Trouble (1984).Trouble (aka Psalm 9). We had a copy of the Live Demo from tape trading that included some killer covers(Accept/Angel Witch) & just fuk’n loved it!. Once this doomy debut was released it was played non-stop for like two years. #MöKnowsMetal.#Top25MetalAlbums

#21 - Testament (1987).The Legacy. One of the great debut albums that was late to the game release wise, but it’s “Legacy” has stood the test of time!. My fav era of metal is still the speed to thrash to death transition b/c of albums like this. #MöKnowsMetal.#Top25MetalAlbums

#22 - Mercyful Fate (1984).Don’t Break the Oath. Both this & Melissa could easily have landed here, but this is my favorite. Denner & Shermann were so incredible & if you could stomach King Diamond’s vocals, then you’ve been hooked for eternity!. #MöKnowsMetal.#Top25MetalAlbums

#23 - Bathory .Under the Sign of the Black Mark (1987). Deep into the magic & evil of the first two albums by Quorthon, but it was this album that I’ve treasured most since first hearing 38 years ago. Any of the first five albums are perfection!. #MöKnowsMetal .#Top25MetalAlbums

#24 - Mgła (2015).Exercises In Futility. An album that has been on repeat since its release and hasn’t really left my turntable a decade later. A trve masterpiece in every possible way, who’s dark & addictive sound portray a dying world! . #MöKnowsMetal .#Top25MetalAlbums

#25 - Satan (1983).Court In The Act. So often when the well deserved & heaping praise of 1983 occurs, this album is overlooked & seemingly less influential. But that would be a mistake as this absolute NWOBHM classic is as essential as it gets!. #MöKnowsMetal .#Top25MetalAlbums

Spending some time with the outstanding Evoken catalogue in preparation for their new release in October. Hard to pick a favorite as every album has been great! . But Hypnagogia has really stayed with me since its 2018 release, & Quietus is also right there along with Altra Mors.
