The @LizPichon class have been creating mixed media portraits for Art Day. They started by drawing a self portrait before tracing over it and creating a word portrait with words to define them. The children finished the day by creating backgrounds which they will put the poems on

Fletcher class came back from assembly this morning to find our whiteboard pens have gone on strike! We have used our oracy skills to discuss why the pens are feeling sad and what we can do to make them happier. 🖊️🪧 #PensonStrike

In English this week, Fletcher class are reading the book ‘The Disgusting Sandwich’ by Gareth Edward’s. We really enjoyed making our own ‘disgusting sandwiches’ to write a description about! 🥪

Fletcher class have had a great day doing DT. We have been learning about food and nutrition. We tasted some different fruits and smoothies before making our own orange, banana and strawberry smoothie. It was delicious! 😋

This afternoon in art, Fletcher class went outside for inspiration when designing their ‘Tree of Life’. We looked at the different shapes and colours on the trees and used this in our design 🌳

In music today we learnt how to play the glockenspiel to some music. The children showed great resilience in learning the notes. 🎶
