I just want to go into my new school and sort out my classroom, but it’s not open until the 18th August.

If you’re moving classes, when do you start moving your stuff in to your new room?.

It still hasn’t hit me that I’m leaving this school next week. I’ve been packing up my classroom and bringing stuff home everyday, but it still doesn’t feel real.

After 2 amazing years at my current school with the best staff and children, I have come to the end of my maternity cover contract and will be moving on to a new school and year group. I’m ready for this new adventure but am going to miss everyone so much

So the answer to this is that we aren’t. We are all struggling in my classroom.

So how are we surviving in 32°+ heat tomorrow?. Today was absolutely awful and I don’t know how we’re supposed to teach the kids anything when they’re too hot to concentrate.

I meet my new class on Thursday and I’m excited, but also really nervous because I’ve been told that there’s a child in my class who gets violent when they’re asked to do work. Does anyone have any advice?.

Please tell me that I’m not the only person who finds all of the secrecy around staffing to be ridiculous. Especially when you’re at a school where a lot of the staff are parents. Why are we waiting over a month to tell parents? Why can we tell them some things but not others?.

Can we start normalising either doing sports day in the morning when it’s a little bit cooler, or postponing it if it’s too hot like we do if it’s raining.

We’ve got sports day on Tuesday and I’m dreading it. It’s going to be almost 30° and we’re going to be up on the field all afternoon. I hate sports day as it is, but being out there with my class for 2 hours in that heat is going to be awful.

I have a child in my class who frequently ends up getting removed from class and sent to SLT. It’s pretty much a daily occurrence. Yesterday, we got through the whole day without him being removed. He even managed to move his name up the behaviour ladder and win secret student.

I have a child in my class who has a comfort teddy that she brings in everyday. Yesterday she forgot it so we went to the book corner and picked a stuffed animal to look after her instead. I know it’s a small thing but I’m so proud of her. At the start of the year she wouldn’t.

I had a new child start in my class about a month ago. Yesterday he came to me and said that I’m the best teacher ever. That, and the fact that I managed to get through a whole day without having to remove anyone from the class or moan at anyone, made me so happy.

Inset tomorrow and then back to work Tuesday for the longest term. I’m not ready.

We have to do our reports on itrack this year and my WiFi is awful so it’s taking me forever to get anything done. It’s so frustrating.

I’ve ordered some new pencil grips and ergonomic pencils to try with one of my kids. They really struggle with their handwriting and it’s upsetting them, so we’ve decided to try some things over the next few weeks. Does anyone have any tips or things that have worked for them?.

Woke up this morning feeling fine. Got dressed and ready to go out only to be hit with the worst stomach ache I’ve had in a long time. I only wanted to go and do my food shop.

We’ve got red white and blue tags day tomorrow for VE Day, and as someone who only wears black/grey/green, this is really difficult. I’ve put my blue jeans on and I hate it.

What is the worst part of this job and why is it the parents?.

Well I guess I’m not wanted at my school anymore.
