My grade 1 and 2s were SO excited to see that the eggs in our robin’s nest have begun to hatch! 🐣🪺 During snack time, we’ve been keeping an eye on the nest over the past week, anticipating the arrival of four baby chicks. They made their arrival this morning!🥰@StJuanDiegoOCSB

This morning we planted our bean seeds in soil! 🫘 🌱 After letting them soak in some water over the weekend, they quickly sprouted and were ready for planting! 😊 @StJuanDiegoOCSB

Our “Hope”-themed classroom door for Catholic Education week! We created a robin’s nest with something we “hope” for written on each egg🪺 The idea came from our class’s live cam of a nest that we’ve been following. The eggs are about to hatch any day now!🥰🪺@StJuanDiegoOCSB

This week we’ve been learning about the structure of a paragraph! Our goal is to be able to write our own paragraph with a topic sentence, 3 details, and a concluding sentence. We loved using highlighters to identify the different parts of a paragraph! 😊🖍@StJuanDiegoOCSB

My class has been LOVING this “write on” activity. (Thanks @MeaghanRyan5!) Using white boards, they have a few mins to free-write about anything that comes to mind when they see a picture ✍️ They love sharing the words and sentences they came up with after 😊 @StJuanDiegoOCSB
