2 weeks tomorrow, I get married. Which is insane to me, to think that 5 and a half years ago I went on an arranged date with a friend’s brother and now we’re getting married. Ironically, we went bowling and played pool for our second date (8hrs after the first).

Been rewatching Ted Lasso recently, and the kids at school have all been watching it too. There’s so many motivational quotes that relate to school in there so I have began my ‘School According to Ted Lasso’ display. Just need to find some Roy Kent quotes that aren’t sweary🤣

Wedding planning is stressful, teaching is stressful. Things not going right is stressful. I am burnt out beyond belief and feel so unwell. 4 weeks until I tie the knot but I’m so terrified it will all go wrong I can’t look forward to it. Is this normal?

I’ve now also finally sorted ceremony music with the brass band I play in. A childhood friend is playing a gorgeous trombone solo as we sign the register. It’s all going to be very bloody beautiful.

The perk of a sister in law to be being a florist is that my wedding flowers have cost £50. 3 bridesmaid bouquets, 1 bridal bouquet, 4 buttonholes and 2 corsages. Bargain.

Had a gastroscopy this morning and honestly it was truly a traumatic event so much so I tried to pull the scope out and was pinned to the gurney by 3 nurses. As soon as the scope was out I had a panic attack and have been on the verge of tears all day. The worst med procedure.

First time ever on a cruise and 100% my last. I honestly do not see the appeal. The best part of the holiday is getting off the boat and getting a beer for €3. Can’t wait to get home and see my cats.

The other was music related which is now also SORTED. So all that’s left to do is pay my caterer, pay my photographer, make my wedding cake and finalise the details of the day and I AM GETTING HITCHED!

May I add - one stress was the venue saying they’ve not received a payment of £6k and then never replying to my correspondence chasing it. Turns out… it’s been in their account for 10 days and they were looking at the wrong date.

After a full scale bridezilla meltdown on my drive home from work today as I have had 2 major wedding stresses (ongoing for WEEKS), both stresses miraculously were solved within the space of 2 hours. I can now sail off on my cruise tomorrow afternoon without it on my mind.
