What a great World Book Day we had @GosbertonAcad! The learners all came in their costumes to celebrate and entered our wooden spoon competition. Our Reading Ambassadors voted for the winners of the competition and presented them with a certificate and a prize!⭐️@WSHEnglishHub

A few of our new books have arrived, that were chosen from the shortlisted Carnegies award list. The learners are excited to read the new books with their peers. We can’t wait for the rest to arrive soon!📚#readingforpleasure @GosbertonAcad @WSHEnglishHub @CarnegieMedals

Last Friday Croatia class had a royal party as part of our Literacy learning. One of our amazing parents created the royal chocolate cake from the book for us all to try. It tasted delicious! 🍰@GosbertonAcad

Yesterday afternoon @GosbertonAcad joined an amazing virtual author session with Joseph Coelho. A Y2 child was inspired to create their own poem at home and brought it into school to share with their friends! @WSHEnglishHub #josephcoelho

Year 1 loved creating 3D shape patterns today in Maths. They used the faces of the 3D shapes to print and make a repeating pattern. 🔴🔷🟩@GosbertonAcad

KS1 enjoyed visiting @RandFarmPark today for their Christmas experience. The learner’s met Santa, decorated biscuits with Mrs Claus and learnt how to be an elf at Elf Academy. The best part was picking their own toy from Santa’s workshop! What an amazing day!🎄🎅🏻@GosbertonAcad

It was lovely to welcome all of our families into Croatia class this afternoon for our reading session. The children were very excited to read Christmas books and create masks of characters from their favourite books. 📚🎄@GosbertonAcad @WSHEnglishHub #LincolnshireReadingPledge

This afternoon Croatia class went for a walk to church to explore a Christian’s special place of worship. We enjoyed finding the features of the church and learning more about them! ⛪️@GosbertonAcad

Wow what a @maths_week! Croatia class enjoyed recognising and understanding money, using statistics to collect data and designing and making their hot chocolate cones to sell! ➖➕@GosbertonAcad
