been focusing on alot of colour, i watched this tutorial and wanted to put some stuff into practice:

wanted to do a third drawing but another storm is on its way 🥺 i hate summer... also i should definitely learn hands as a focus sometime because i am lacking currently

i do find myself simplifying angles compared to references, because i only know how to do 3 different kinds of angles and i keep subconciously going to them. So ill try to keep the drawings as 1-1 i can get them from now on. i feel like such an amatuer 🥲

i just need to brute force this and continously draw different kinds of faces to get a better eye, ive never been one to study individual features so im probably shooting myself in the foot, but i like to have fun with these studies

i think i can sketch in detail okayishly, or atleast my eyes pick up less problems in sketches, but painting and having light bounce off 3d surfaces is an issue i need to simplify, because ive built up a muscle memory of a nose being 'just a line' for quite a while

i dislike the colours in this one, wanted to use bright reds as shadows but it came out a bit incoherent. The features, especially the nose looks off, which is a recurring issue with these painting drawings, i definitely need to do some high brush size portrait sketches, i think
