Our adult Level I Trauma Center’s Trauma Quality of Life Clinic team helps tend to the complex mental health and social service needs of gun violence survivors. For many of these patients, untreated socio-environmental and psychological issues linger after physical healing.

Interestingly, we didn't see direct effects w/ PTSD symptoms. Future directions include examining other outcomes (depression) and looking further out (is expression still elevated at 1 year?) Always a pleasure to work w/ @ClaireMariaBird and the @MilwaukeeTrauma team! <3
