If I had a goal to run a marathon in 4 hours by the end of the year but then Jon Horst shot me in the fucking leg so I couldn’t get it done would you be like “wow, gotta admit… it was a failure…”.
You can definitely still appreciate and support great and under-appreciated players while still understanding that ultimately the Bucks did not achieve the goal the last few years lol that’s not like a hot take or anything.

When Giannis is on the roster and then you trade for Dame, the goal every year is to win the NBA finals and every year that isn’t accomplished is a failure. It’s a harsh reality but the goal was never highest scoring duo or any of they. The goal is to win.

We gotta reframe how we talk about this because people don’t understand that Giannis & Dame DEFINITELY OBJECTIVELY worked together & did win. Everything else was the problem (playoff injuries, Khris’ health, coaching hires, no wings, Brook old, Bobby can’t play defense, etc.).
I’m devastated that it didn’t work man. I wanted them to win so bad.

He has a lot of the same raw tools Haliburton has, he’s so light on his feet he doesn’t even need dribble moves to create a straight line drive. I’m also skeptical he’ll “get there,” it would take an insane amount of work, but idk how other people don’t see what I see.
