Last semester, Will Simpson taught a a math lesson to third graders at Warrensburg-Latham Elementary School. He created engaging station games to help the students become fluent with math operations. The students loved them! #MillikinEducation

On Wednesday, Jr. Elementary Education majors in Dr. Cunnings' ELED Science Methods course learned about energy, electricity, the Next Generation Science Standards, and design-based scientific inquiry. Students participated in active demonstrations creating different circuits.

Coffee beans, chopsticks, and teamwork—ED 401 Integrating Culture in the Classroom students explored cultural tools in this interactive classroom activity. Sometimes, a simple activity can open up conversations about culture and tradition.

The ED 209 Foundations of ESL & Bilingual Education class had an incredible visit to Johns Hill Magnet School, observing bilingual and ESL classrooms in action! It was inspiring to see several Millikin SOE graduates thriving as teachers and making a difference.

First year Education majors presented the results of their student-driven inquiry projects. Students in this course got to do a deep dive in pairs or independently into a education topic they were most interested in learning more about. The presentations have been outstanding!
