Duke of Edinburgh award got underway last week with students meeting tents, some for the first time & learning to put them up. Bad weather sent us heading in doors to C block corridors. Some teams worked well from the start, others learnt how to work together as a result.

Congratulations and very well done to year 7 student Isabella Brown who has been running every weekday. She completed a marathon over 9 days for a cancer research charity and ran a total of 83 miles running 5Ks in April. Very inspiring!

Y10&Y11 students - hands on experience of anatomy & dissection (our Main Hall was turned into a giant operating table!) and girls were really engaged. Not for the squamish but an incredible experience & invaluable for those considering careers in medicine or veterinary science.

Just to let you know the U16’S Football Team beat Tanbridge last night 2-1 so we now go through to the County Cup Finals. Finals will be held at Lancing FC around May Day Bank Holiday. We also have the U12’s County Cup Final on the same evening. Looking forward to your support!

Well done to our U19 and U14 intermediate trampoline teams who competed at the Southern Schools Trampoline Competition. They all performed fantastically well with the U19's making it through to the March national finals. Special mention for Jen Bull in Y11 who finished 1st place!

Congratulations to our Junior & Intermediate swimmers - competed at the ESSA Championship finals on Sat. In the 4x50 intermediate Freestyle relay, the girls swam nearly 4 secs faster than their qualifying time finishing 6th in the country& 11th in the medley relay in the finals!

Our U12 players who did so well to reach the finals of a tournament held at Bedes school last week. Whilst we may have lost in the final on penalties, the fun had by everyone and the team spirit displayed by all players made this a really memorable occasion.
