I was won round by Kettlewell and while there was some bad luck, ultimately he’s the architect of a team that looks well off it I haven’t been at a game in ages for various reasons, but partly a general lethargy with this squad. Let’s see if I feel the pull over the festive…

This pally pally rubbish belies the pantomime nature at the heart of football that separates it from other, far less entertaining sports. McInnes did a fine job, then left for a rival before the season was out. Hardly statue-worthy so you’ll forgive me for not bending the knee
I do hope @KilmarnockFC fans give Derek McInnes a respectful reception when he returns to Rugby Park with @JamTarts this weekend. He deserves it for the work he did at the club and the real Killie fans didn’t get the opportunity to acknowledge that at the end of last season.
