Cheers @vitriolamusic and all! Enjoyed that. I will now resume my limited/non-participation in Twitter! #5x1

Ending on the word ‘nothing’ is very The Cure. Very nihilistic. #5x1

There’s quite a lot more widdly guitar than I was expecting. Not yet sure how I feel about it. I love Reeves Gabrels (the first Tin Machine album remains a firm favourite), but Cure widdling feels alien. I guess I just need to accept the new order! #5x1

A Fragile Thing was my route into this album. The first one that grabbed my ears and made me want to come back. The delivery of the title line is so delightfully offhand. #5x1

And live, he carries it all, vocally-speaking. No backing vocals at all. Astonishing longevity and stamina. #5x1

Not a unique opinion, but his voice sounds great - hardly aged at all. #5x1

That was lovely - suspect it will be a grower like the last few, but for a first listen thought it was great! Cheers @vitriolamusic for arranging - a lovely reminder of when things were better before the dark times! #5x1

Love some high, keening Warren Ellis vocals. Or what I think is him. #5x1

It feels very filmic to me. Big sweeping strings and choral and epic. And Kris Kristofferson. #5x1

I love how big this song is, yet the subject matter is so personal and small. And grounded. #5x1

This feels nicely 2022. The listening along thing, not the music. I don’t have a view on the music yet - I’ve saved my first listen till now… #5x1

Of all the things around this @thebeatles release, this label is my favourite thing. I spent so much time staring at similar labels as a child that the resonance feels physical…

Side by side, new vs old, reissue vs original. The greatest album ever made that references prawns. When In Rome Kill Me by @CUDband inc @willcud @CarlPuttnam Such a glorious album...

Shuffled my day round to see @RedGuitars at @O2AcademyBham - one of my better decisions! Didn’t see them live first time round, so have waited 40 odd years to see these songs live! And they played Marimba Jive! Whole band was awesome, particularly @LoudhailerUK and Hallam Lewis

Love the way the “don’t judge me” backing vocal fits with the lead vocal. Or the other way round. I just love how they go together. #5x1
