There’s quite a lot more widdly guitar than I was expecting. Not yet sure how I feel about it. I love Reeves Gabrels (the first Tin Machine album remains a firm favourite), but Cure widdling feels alien. I guess I just need to accept the new order! #5x1

A Fragile Thing was my route into this album. The first one that grabbed my ears and made me want to come back. The delivery of the title line is so delightfully offhand. #5x1

And live, he carries it all, vocally-speaking. No backing vocals at all. Astonishing longevity and stamina. #5x1

Not a unique opinion, but his voice sounds great - hardly aged at all. #5x1

It feels very filmic to me. Big sweeping strings and choral and epic. And Kris Kristofferson. #5x1

Shuffled my day round to see @RedGuitars at @O2AcademyBham - one of my better decisions! Didn’t see them live first time round, so have waited 40 odd years to see these songs live! And they played Marimba Jive! Whole band was awesome, particularly @LoudhailerUK and Hallam Lewis

Love the way the “don’t judge me” backing vocal fits with the lead vocal. Or the other way round. I just love how they go together. #5x1
