As the Emergency Services Blood Challenge draws to an end, I managed to roll up my sleeve for the fifth time, donating plasma before the challenge officially finishes on August 31.

Today, myself & Viliami Tuihalamaka, Commissioner of the Tonga Fire Service (TFS), resigned a Memorandum of Understanding, continuing our long-standing partnership and the exchange of information, educational materials, training and equipment.

Our Adelaide Station based fire trucks have been dressed in their very own red noses to help raise awareness for Red Nose Day. This worthy cause has seen an incredible 80% reduction in sudden infant deaths over the past 30 years.

Another great week visiting the #Renmark, #Berri & #Loxton stations for the @SA_MFS Regional Audit. Great to present staff with medals & acknowledge the incredible service to the MFS and their communities. Thanks to our Regional staff & the unwavering support of their families.

Last night I visited Renmark Fire Station for the regional station proficiency and audit assessments. Little did I know, that the Renmark crew would be putting me under my own test, behind a different type of machine in the old Renmark Fire Station.

Last night I had the honour to present medals at the Whyalla Fire Station. The National Medal was awarded to Michael Del Giacco, and the MFS Exemplary Service Medal was awarded to Samantha Higgins and Emma Mardon. Congratulations on your achievements!

It's with immense pride that we unveil our new 5-year Strategic Plan, propelling the MFS towards becoming a world class emergency services organisation. Together, we will protect & enrich the SA community, leaving a lasting impact for generations to come.

Congratulations to MFS/SAAS Team Red, who won the overall Australiasian Champions award at the Australasian Rescue Challenge for the second year in a row. Outstanding effort.

ARC 2023 is in full swing. The past two days have provided a brilliant opportunity for teams to network. Today is the first day of the competition. I’m looking forward to seeing all teams demonstrate their skills, especially our two MFS/SAAS teams. I wish everyone good luck.

What an extraordinary legacy Darren Wilson leaves at the @SA_MFS after 15+ years of community service. We'll miss him incredibly, but are so happy to see a 12X AFL Grand Final Umpire & world Stair Climb champion move into a full-time umpire coaching role with the AFL. Congrats.
