OTD 1966 England beat West Germany 4–2, after extra time, to win the FIFA World Cup & claim the Jules Rimet Trophy. Geoff Hurst scored a hat-trick. Managed by Alf Ramsey & captained by the brilliant Bobby Moore. Attendance of over 96,000.⚽️🏆 #FootballMemories

OTD 1982 David Chapman-trained Soba (David 'Dandy' Nicholls) won the Steward's Cup at Goodwood. Starting from the supposedly hopeless No.1 draw Soba (S.P. 18-1) led all the way to win in record time of 1min 9.58sec for the 6 furlongs. She won 11 times in '82.🏇👏#RacingMemories
