What I saw from #FSU on Saturday was relentlessness, physicality and mental toughness — all signs that the bad dream that was 2024 is finally over.
Following its worst season in 50 years and one filled with questionable effort, Week 1 left no doubt that the culture has changed for Florida State football.

When Brianna Vallandingham enrolled in Polk State's PTA program, she already had a bachelor's degree. But it wasn't until she earned her AS in PTA that she found a rewarding career. She's now a member of the Polk State PTA advisory board and hopes to one day teach at the College.

Entering September, Addison Phillippe ranks third in the FCSAA in assists per set and fourth in service aces per set. Her 47 assists in last week's win over University of South Carolina Sumter was the most for a Polk State freshman in three years.
After a stellar first month as a college athlete, Polk State Volleyball setter Addison Phillippe has been named our Eagle of the Month for August. Phillippe ranks in the top five in the FCSAA in assists and service aces per set.
