When things happen in KSA everyone tries to come up with logical answers to what has happened.
Prime example “the King must be dying” There was no evidence to suggest it.
Occam’s razor folks, MbS goes after his rivals. That’s just what he does, we’ve had five years to learn.

Exactly. This pattern of ruthlessness is unremarkable in secular Arab republics. The dislocation of (western) expectation is due to it occurring in a formerly stable monarchical system. Combined with a militaristic FP, MbS’ style resembles some of those departed secular leaders.
