OK. I know this has been a wild week. And I'm going to look like a Munson for the foreseeable future with mismatched equipment. But remember, when you come to a fork in the road, take it. 🧡
One year ago I played my last professional hockey game. This picture was taken right before overtime as I looked up to my family in the stands. One of the happiest moments of my life.
I don't know what everyone is upset about. In international competition, touching the goalie in the crease is goalie interference. It's pretty straightforward.
31 NHL teams should be calling Jason Spezza right now.
He's a Leaf through and through, from Toronto, dreams of winning a Cup with that franchise was probably his LIFE GOAL.
And whatever went down made him walk away. WOW.
Carey Price seeking help in-season is a reminder that things are changing for the better. Players use to wait until after the season...if at all. Hoping nothing but the best for Carey & his family
Sadly, I will not be returning to the
@GoldenKnights
broadcast next
@NHL
season. I am forever grateful to the VGK for believing in me and providing the opportunity to learn and grow in my new career. I already miss the

fans. You have set the bar high.
Thank you 💛
There's a bunch of
#HockeyGuys
that will hate this, but I would love it if a retired NHL on-ice official got a turn as TV analyst. Their knowledge of the game - and especially the players personalities - would add a unique dimension.
Anyone trying to deny knowledge of hazing taking place in junior hockey - especially when I played from 99-01 in the NAHL - is an unequivocal liar. Coaches. Owners. Leagues. All turned a blind eye. Everyone knew.
Putting our 5-year old to bed and - out of nowhere - she says: "Daddy, you'll always be my favorite goalie"
The entire reason I played my last year pro was so that she would (hopefully) remember my playing days. She turned 3 that season.
💛
A smart goalie doesn't leave the crease until their team has gotten out of the D zone cleanly with possession. And some are coached to stay put.
Straight up disrespectful to Delia whacking the crossbar and yelling at him. There's a reason why he hadn't gone to the bench yet.
Fleury. Gold pads.
Lehner. Black pads.
Saros. Yellow pads.
You will never convince me white pads make more saves. It's the athlete, not the optics. I will die on this hill.
Knight has all the tools, and I think it's good that he went public with is OCD. He's not the first NHL goalie with it, and he won't be the last.
Too many people assume the Player Assistance Program means booze or drugs. Stop that. Please. And stop joking about OCD.
In an interview with
@TheHockeyNews
, Spencer Knight revealed he entered the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program to treat his OCD.
“I can still be the player I want to be, and I still believe I can be one of the best goalies in this league.”

I have so much respect for JD and Jarmo. I loved my time with the CBJ organization. Treated amazing.
But I haven't found a single player, current or former, that thought hiring Babcock was a good idea. Response was always "Why?"
Sources say
#CBJ
and Mike Babcock are indeed parting ways.
Investigation by
#NHLPA
left no path for Babcock to continue as coach. Much of last 24-48 hours was spent negotiating his exit.
Strong message sent: Treat all players with respect, as you would in any proper workplace.
Imagine being an NHL agent and having to deal with a player's Mommy and Daddy.
Imagine being an NHL player in your 20's and Mommy and Daddy are dictating your business decisions.
Thank you 💚. I've spent the past hour racking my brain trying to write something poignant and self-deprecating but the right words fail me. We are so grateful for this season. Our
@TexasStars
team gave it our all and I am so proud to have been a part of it.

This guy
@RGrosjean
has been amazing in
@IndyCar
. His talent wasn't on display in
@F1
trying to will a 17th place slot car to 14th every week. Here he's qualified up front, raced hard and surprisingly clean. I had doubts but count me a fan.
And he SMILES. Fun = success!!!
A runner-up for

ahead of next week's oval debut.

Grosjean: "If I sign a contract that says I can finish first in that one, I'd do it right now."
We're back! 2018-19 has been a long, strange trip, but we are so happy to be under one roof again in a place that already feels like home. Hopefully we can stay a while 🙂
Matthew Knies asked how good Auston Matthews is. “Pretty damn good. He’s not just the best goal scorer in the NHL but he plays defense too. He’s kind of the best overall player [in the NHL] in my eyes.”
All the people giving me a hard time for being tough on the Sens.
Terrible ownership. And terrible communication. That was Ottawa's MO for years. It finally caught up.
Andlauer is going to clean house. And I would, too. There was so much rot in that organization.
Renting an apartment + furniture + uhaul, booking a flight for a helper, setting up cable + internet, creating utility accounts, getting a storage shed, and registering a kid for school in a 2-day span is actually fun & exciting when your family is moving in soon!
It had been over a year and a half since I practiced with an NHL team - or even played goaltender. I've missed it. It felt so good to be tired and a little sore last night 🙂
These girls remember how well the
@NHLFlyers
treated our family. Even though they're becoming Blues fans, they still wanted to wear their Philly jerseys 🧡
I spent 37 years on this planet before I needed help with my mental health. An entire pro career - no problems. But by April of last year the anxiety had become too much. I called my doctor and he got me back on track. You're never too old or proud to talk.
#BellLetsTalk
Nedeljkovic should have been promoted immediately to the NHL after winning the Calder Cup and AHL goalie of the year. Not doing so made it seem like the team didn't believe in him. Now he's traded. The handling of his career has been a complete mystery.
Today is the 2-year anniversary of my last professional game. It's quite a story. And one of the best moments of my life. I'll probably share this every year on April 13 and take a small victory lap 🏁

I was a 16 yr old kid, most teammates 19-20 yr old men threatening to beat the shit out of me, coach endorsing & encouraging hazing. Dreams of college hockey. Maybe pro. All gone if I spoke out back then.
No one spoke for a reason. But I'm sure YOU would have had the courage.
@MikeMcKenna56
Hey Mike not to question the truthfulness but where was your courage back then? You could have saved a lot of kids if true. Don’t understand people waiting 20 years to speak out
Krystof Hrabik gets 30 games for mindless racist gestures on the ice in the AHL...and Jacob Panetta doubles down by doing the same thing in the ECHL *A DAY LATER.* He can't plead ignorance. Everyone in hockey saw what Hrabik did and the consequences. ECHL better get this right
There's a man named John down the street. Mid-seventies & strong as an ox. He brings everyone's recycle bins up from the curb. He shovels sidewalks. He helped me unload the uHaul.
Seriously this man is the patron saint of our neighborhood. We should all be more like John.
5 full days with my girls. My heart is full. Now it's back to living out a Whitesnake song...
🎶 Here I go again on my own...going down the only road I've ever known... 🎶
OK first so dumb. Goalie scored. Get over it. Players celly all the time.
Second, the end of this video with Pyotr giving it to the crowd is just awesome
