This is a song I’ve sung to Jaden since he was a baby. Several years ago, he started to sing along with me.
People ask me all the time, “Does Jaden communicate with you?” The answer, of course, is yes. He just has his own mysterious and incredibly beautiful language. ❤️
I have received more calls and emails in opposition to Justin Trudeau’s Emergencies Act than perhaps any issue I’ve seen in 16 years. I agree with my constituents on this. It’s massive Liberal overreach, a dangerous precedent, and I will be speaking and voting against it.

Apparently, this short chat I had 3 weeks ago w/ a Nova Scotia trucker is why I’m on a virtual hit list making Twitter rounds today. l’d hope any MP would’ve stopped to hear his story. We’ll be in a much better place when we have more real conversations, not fewer.
So many great chats this AM. This hardworking truck driver tells me he made a large retail delivery in Montreal four days ago. Then he put on his mask & went to buy a quick snack. He was turned down from buying the very product he’d just delivered. Decided then to come to Ottawa.
Today, Jaden & I are excited to be able to share some big news - that the Conservative Party of Canada (

If
@PierrePoilievre

Big city gatekeepers—like Vancouver City Hall—are destroying the home ownership dreams of working class youth.
Enough.
If they want more federal money, these big city politicians will need to approve more home building.

Happy Birthday, Kade! My son, Jaden, celebrated his birthday yesterday too! If he was there, he’d give you a big high five (even though he’s an Oilers fan)! 🖐 🎂
Posts like this, from Trudeau’s inner circle, represent the worst of divisive politics. Here in Edmonton-Wetaskiwin, tens of thousands of wonderful people work hard, dressed in this standard SAFETY CLOTHING, to support their families & contribute to our great country.
Question: Is oil coming to Canada from Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and Russia (over $4.5B in 2021) subject to the same rigorous regulations as oil coming from Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Newfoundland and Labrador?
How is the answer anything but, “Yes, of course it is”?

4 a.m. in the House of Commons, and now 10+ hours into the marathon vote. Haven’t missed one yet! All this so

Past 6 p.m. in Ottawa. Just passed 24-hour mark in the voting marathon. Haven't yet missed a vote. Or won one. And yet, what a great day for our democracy, using the limited tools we have to hold this Liberal majority government to account. So proud of our

Would it be fair to link every single environmentalist Liberal or NDP MP w/ the 20 axe-wielding, vehicle-burning individuals who terrorized workers at a Coastal Gas Link site in Houston, BC, two nights ago?
Given divisive NDP/Liberal tactics all day in the House, I had to ask.
Big news! The House of Commons just agreed to a unanimous consent motion to pass Bill S-203 (Federal Framework on Autism) immediately. This is a huge step toward a National Autism Strategy, just in time for World Autism Month in April. (1/3)
Don’t worry about polls. This will be a very hard election to predict, making for captivating Twitter speculation.
One thing is certain. Votes not cast don’t count. On MONDAY, get out EARLY to VOTE, and convince two friends to do the same.
This is absolutely within grasp.

No, Sheila. This was largely written by me, but I admit to having shed a few tears along this journey. Jaden's a remarkable young man, and it was an absolute joy to share this moment with him reading along, pointing at the words, as he's done since he was a little boy. 🙂

Wonderful people can vehemently disagree with each other and still remain wonderful people (and even friends). Be kind to one another, Canada. These are difficult times for all of us.
Thoughts from the plane: We seem as a country (as a planet, really) to have lost our ability (or desire) to take a step back, for perspective; to listen to somebody who thinks differently from us and try to genuinely understand why?
This is something we need to remedy, urgently.
This afternoon in the Canadian House of Commons, I presented my annual one-minute statement for World Autism Awareness Day, with Jaden watching from the gallery for the first time in four years! 🙂

For the 2nd election in a row, the Liberals can't find a candidate from Edmonton-Wetaskiwin to run here. This riding has the largest population in Canada. That this party is simply writing off Alberta & Saskatchewan should concern more than just people in Alberta & Saskatchewan.

and Jaden and I started our day before 5am! Just landed in Toronto for an event, and Jaden’s curiously peeking over my shoulder, as he always does, while I work. He knows all of my secrets! 😊
After my tweet yesterday, many have rightfully asked what I would have done. For starters, I'd have followed the May 2021 PM Trudeau principle: "We're not a country that makes vaccines mandatory."
He and I are both pro-vaccine, and, at the time, were both anti-mandate. 🧵(1/14)
I have received more calls and emails in opposition to Justin Trudeau’s Emergencies Act than perhaps any issue I’ve seen in 16 years. I agree with my constituents on this. It’s massive Liberal overreach, a dangerous precedent, and I will be speaking and voting against it.

In the last year of the

Canada under Trudeau will pay more on interest than on healthcare for years to come. This is pure economic insanity.
If you took the vote total of the four PEI Liberal MPs elected last night, and added the vote total of

In Ottawa, missing Jaden tonight on his 25th birthday. This photo is from Washington, DC (timely tonight). It’s typical Jaden, pointing out his order w/ a happy ‘Bababababa!’ 😊

Let's be clear on this. A confidence vote was always going to happen. The only reason for prorogation now is to avoid five weeks of intense public scrutiny ahead of the confidence vote. PM Trudeau's arrogance tells him the Canadian public won't see through this. He's wrong.
PM says the difference between his decision to prorogue Parliament and Stephen Harper's...is that Conservatives did it to avoid a confidence vote...whereas he will have a confidence vote when Parliament returns on the date it was scheduled to return.

I believe in a Canada where families can heat their homes, eat nutritious food, and still have enough left over to enjoy the $14 streaming app of their choice in their free time.
This Liberal government could not be more out of touch with the day-to-day lives of most Canadians.
Chrystia Freeland:
"let's cut that

Feeling the sting of inflation, Canada's Minister of Finance announced Saturday that she cut her DisneyPlus subscription for a savings of $13.99 per month, and encourages all Canadians to do the same.
“When Notley came to power in May 2015, Alberta’s debt was $11.9 billion. The debt grew to $85.9 billion by the time the NDP were voted out of office, after just one term — making hers the first one-term government in Alberta’s now 118-year history.”

Whether singing or talking, Jaden’s “Bababababa” is always filled w/ meaning. You just have to take the time to step into HIS world & intentionally engage with him! ❤️
This is a song I’ve sung to Jaden since he was a baby. Several years ago, he started to sing along with me.
People ask me all the time, “Does Jaden communicate with you?” The answer, of course, is yes. He just has his own mysterious and incredibly beautiful language. ❤️
This is a very different World Autism Awareness Day for us. Jaden’s had COVID. He seems to be doing better now, but abstract stuff is so difficult for him to communicate. I can’t imagine how tough that must be for him. Can’t wait for more moments like this again soon! ❤️
The Liberal Question Period strategy is increasingly troubling.
Serious questions are regularly met w/ scripted, dramatic indignation & no attempt to answer.
This blatant disregard for transparency is the opposite of a ‘Team Canada’ approach & we are all worse off for it.
Today, I had a chance to ask Natural Resources Minister Seamus O'Regan about his surprising admission that, after four years of Liberal government, investors don't currently "know what direction we're heading in and what the rules are."

With respect, for well over $1B/yr Canadian taxpayers might expect their national broadcaster to find three Canadian journalists (regulars or otherwise) to weigh in on a breaking story of this significance.

Conservatives have been relentlessly fighting the Liberals’ Bill C-11, which will significantly affect what Canadians see & hear online. On Thursday, I had the chance to add my voice to the debate in the House. I'd love to hear what you think!
Free speech is fundamental to democracy. Here are four ways to exercise it more impactfully, and perhaps actually change minds:
1. Be respectful.
2. Do your research.
3. Tell the truth.
4. Understand that it goes both ways.
What would you add to the list?
This is quite something from a former Liberal MP. There is not one credible person in Ottawa, from any party, who would use the word ‘ridiculous’ to describe
@janephilpott
. Less than 3 months ago,

Thank goodness for Judy Sgro. She had the courage to say publicly what so many Lib MPs are thinking and believe. JWR & JP have become ridiculous actors in a truly silly soap opera of their own making. Time to grow up and put your grownup pants on.
Three tips for
#BetterTwitter
. What are yours?
1. Use your real name. First and last. Own your posts.
2. Be respectful. Name-calling may get you retweets, but it won’t cause anyone to change their mind.
3. Draft. Wait. Re-read. Post.
