And while the moral framing may not be the one I would have instinctively used, I found it thought-provoking and timely. It’s a reminder that whatever our worldview, we all need to take a step back and ask: Are we shaping AI, or is AI shaping us?

What are we handing over to technology? Who’s really in control? And are we thinking hard enough about the creeping reach of AI into our everyday decisions? These are questions that matter whether you’re religious, spiritual, agnostic, or none of the above.

Although the book is rooted in a Christian worldview—asking what God might think of our relationship with Artificial Intelligence, and how it measures up against Biblical teachings—the questions Jeremy Peckham raises are far more universal.

🌐 Ever wondered if AI is quietly shaping who we are—or who we’ll become? Not coming from a religious background myself, I tend to steer clear of narrating books with overtly theological themes. But I’m glad I didn’t pass on Jeremy Peckham's "Masters or Slaves?"

@HighBridgeAudio As someone who loves bringing non-fiction to life, I found this project particularly satisfying—narrating a book that reveals just how carefully constructed our modern worldview really is…

@HighBridgeAudio 🤔 We travel from medieval “natural philosophy” to the age of Newton, Darwin, Einstein, and beyond. But this isn’t just a greatest-hits tour of scientific breakthroughs. It’s also about how power, belief, and culture shaped what counted as “truth.”

@HighBridgeAudio In this sweeping work of intellectual history, historian Peter Dear explores how our understanding of the natural world evolved—through science, institutions, and imagination.

🌍 What if everything you believe about the world… was built over time? That’s the idea at the heart of "The World As We Know It"—my latest audiobook narration for @HighBridgeAudio.

@Bloomberg It’s been a real privilege to voice these stories. As an audiobook narrator, long form narration is one of my favourite types of voiceover work—and I’ll be looking for new opportunities in this space with other publishers, going forward. Thanks for listening!

@Bloomberg The story traces the unlikely rise of U Thant, a former schoolteacher from Burma who helped defuse the Cuban Missile Crisis and sought a post-imperial world order. His story is both an antidote to modern despair and a timely reminder of what global diplomacy could be.

With a mix of insight, irony, and just the right amount of exasperation 😵‍💫, Jeffries explores why—despite all our progress—we keep making the same bad decisions, just with slicker marketing.

From the ancient Greeks to modern influencers, from the Enlightenment to Elon Musk, Jeffries traces how stupidity has shaped our world just as much as brilliance—sometimes more so.
