Swing is far from dead and continues to be a viable option for many desktop Java developers. By modernizing the backend, updating the UI, and integrating with modern technologies, would extend the life of Swing api and keep it relevant. But I see no plans.. @OpenJDK

We will adopt #Java21. I really appreciate the evolution and improvements, but I'm quite disappointed that Swing/Java2D hasn't been updated for a long time and doesn't align with modern GUI toolkits / hwacc. We're still tied to AWT, year 1996. Pls don't forget rich desktop apps
