Long ago, when I worked on a ship that drilled very deep holes in the sea floor, when the roughnecks on the drilling floor would pull something really cool off, they’d all start line dancing. I feel like the folks who just did this should be clicking their heels together tonight.

I was on a call earlier today with an incredible fire fighter who said “in order to do the big easy, you have to do the small and complex.” Exactly right.
@MarinWaterInfo and @marincountyfire getting prescribed fire on the ground today! . Thank you to all the folks that planned, prepped and are executing this. Putting good fire (back) on the ground where people live is super hard but one of the key solutions for wildfire safety.

If they occur, these cuts are going to blow a giant hole in the CSU-UC opportunity machine for CA’s (and many other state’s) young people. They would be anti-future, anti-working families, anti-young people. I truly hope the President doesn’t do it.

I was just looking at the HDWI for the next few days and the drought monitor and thinking, SW fire season is prob going to show up right quick.
Arizona has a fire going:. The Turnbull Fire, 50 acres and growing. Geronimo Hotshots have been ordered along with multiple tankers and SEATS.
