One of the mistakes I made early on when I was trying to lose fat was cutting out eggs. It was a mistake because eggs have many benefits that you don't want to cut out even when you're going through a cut, including muscle preservation. Make your eggs however you like them, but

Barbell squat. I put the safety arms a good bit higher than I see most guys do. It allows me to go deep while providing additional safety. If the bar were lower and I lost my balance, the arms would catch the bar…eventually, but not before causing significant injury.
