Some very special old South African wines on auction. Apart from the ridiculously good 1937 Chateau Libertas and GS 1966, the Nederburg Private Bin R115 1983 is seriously good and 1973 Cabernet remarkably fresh!

1791 Sweet Constantia - possibly Muscadel - Napoleon passed in 1821 - it’s conceivable that he drank this very wine…..

1937 Chateau Libertas - a first for me and not far behind stellar 1957. Pure cinsaut red-berry fruit, some rum and raisen. Opening up to fragrance and soft, but composed texture. Delicious! Wow! @amorim_za @StraussFineWine @WineCellarCoZa
