This is not how zoning decisions should be made or influenced. Developers should really have to disclose this on the record before a vote is held… I wonder how much more will come in 2026 Q1! @doug_hanks @newschica @hatzelvela @davidjwinker

3/5 Here are a few more graphics displaying GL Homes contributions related to Miami-Dade County commissioners & mayor. There are other contributions made to state level candidates & PCs that may be related, but this only shows the MDC database & MD-ED 28 PCs listed w/ the state.

2/5 Miami-Dade Mayor Cava leads both overall & current at $70K since 2017, w/ $50K to her PC since 2023 alone. The current/recent commissioners, save for very newly appointed Vicki Lopez, each received $10K - $40K with a majority of the contributions starting in 2023.

Crawling back. COVID finally found me & whooped my ass. The campaign finance reports have been horrific. Starting slow by focusing on one real estate developer. I really don't understand how anyone thinks this blatant buying of votes is conducive for a successful democracy.

We are safe and housed. The Homeless Trust & the orgs involved are currently being investigated by Miami-Dade OIG for what happened. Mental and physical health slowly returning to baseline. Yes, I'm working on the City of Miami contributions. I FINALLY have an adequate workspace!

This is weird. The @CityofMiami website is no longer listing mayoral candidate Eileen Higgins' MD-ED 28 form & the direct link to the PDF of it give a 404 error. Could be just my internet or something, but I've checked on 3 separate devices. Links in next post.

We're in the apartment! Homeless assistance fell through on helping us get here, but thanks to y'all's help, we had enough to pay for the rideshare. They're mad we refused to make content for them. Assistance forgot to set up FPL, but we were able to get the ball rolling on that.

We'll be moved in by Sunday! Please, we're trying to raise $100 to pay for a hot meal tonight & tomorrow b/c we anticipated having a stove today & to help pay for someone to help us move our things. Sorry to have to ask, but the delay messed up our budget. https://t.co/9rkS28jsFi

We're encountering some additional hurdles getting the apartment we found approved. They're kind of mad we didn't use 1 of their landlords. This is causing unexpected additional costs. If you can please help, you can find my pay links at:

So, the Homeless Trust & their associated orgs claim the difficulties we experienced were due to multiple household members being physically disable almost never request assistance. Every family w/ kids living at this motel has multiple disabled members. Every. Family.

Tonight is the final night our motel will be covered by @HermanosCalleUS. We have an apartment just waiting for @ChapmanPartner to approve for relocation funds. The inspection is today. @HomelessMiami asst exec director Manny Sarria is the person refusing more motel assistance.

Please send me pictures of the campaign mail you are receiving, particularly showing who paid for the ad. This is the only way I'll know which PCs to focus my attention on! (I'm behind, but working as much as I can to catch up.)

Absentee or vote-by-mail ballots were mailed out to about 39,000 voters Monday, including more than 21,000 in #Miami and more than 8,000 in #Hialeah. They should start arriving in mailboxes tomorrow. Followed by a barrage of campaign mail.

The Homeless Trust cluster**** is something I need to stay on. This level of chaos, dysfunction, & waste is absolutely horrific on it's own before the idea of corruption is even considered. I cannot stress enough how bad the situation is with homeless assistance in Miami-Dade.

Essentially, if you get relocation assistance through a Homeless Trust org, they have preferred landlords you are "encouraged" to work with. They expedite & streamline the process for them. We had to use a landlord outside their list due to our accessibility needs, so it's slowed

We managed to get them to cover a few more nights in the motel. Chapman relocation assistance is requiring our new landlord to make some small repairs before they'll let us move in. Thankfully someone finally had sense to make sure we have shelter until the apartment is approved.
