Well done to our U6 Chemistry students on completing 'The Period of Lockdown Table 2020'. They have been combining chemistry with creative skills to produce the patchwork periodic table, which measures over 7 foot by 5 foot overall!
Having joined the school on 5 March 1979, today was Head Groundsman Dave Bradshaw’s final day at school.
Dave has worked diligently for four decades maintaining the school estate, we wish him all the best in his retirement & express our thanks for his many years of service.

Well done to Senior Boys' student, Darren Toh, who completed the the 7k for 700k challenge for World Autism Awareness Week. Darren completed 7k of running, 7k of swimming and 7k of cycling to raise £2,773 after being inspired by his brother, Brendan, who has Autism.

Everyone in the Merchant Taylors’ community is shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of former pupil Matthew Lock. He was a warm, kind and energetic character who will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at very this difficult time.

Merchant Taylors' has bid farewell to three long serving staff members. Marie Langham, Sue Barrington and Anna-Louise Hodkinson have amassed 63 years of service between them, we would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication to the school.
It has been another tremendous year of results for Merchant Taylors’ with more than 1 in 3 GCSE results being awarded A* or the new grade 9/8. Overall, 78% of grades achieved A*-B/9-6. Well done to all of our students for all of their hard work!
Well done to our First XV, who put in a great performance in the Lancashire Plate Final yesterday evening. The boys can hold their heads high despite coming up just short against a good St. Mary’s side.
