In one of the more insane things the band department has ever done, we needed a way to recognize our CHUNK CHAMPS at both schools. Champs completed every (of 40) scale or rhythm chunk, with the final ones requiring the highest level of HS skills. Names will be engraved in May!

One of our FAVORITE annual traditions is a Memorial-Shore combined Cadet Band to perform Star Wars. It's always so cool to see how much progress these beginners make in just a few months of playing. 🌠

The Shore MS Band Concert originally scheduled for Tuesday has been rescheduled to WEDNESDAY (the 4th). Still 6:30pm student report time, 7pm concert start time at the MHS Fine Arts Center. The Memorial MS Band Concert is still planned for Thursday. We hope to see you there!.
Mentor Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, December 3, 2024, due to weather conditions. Lake County continues to be under a Lake Effect Snow Warning issued by the National Weather Service through 7 a.m. tomorrow. Again Mentor Schools - CLOSED tomorrow - December 3rd.

We are SO back. Not one, but two Rhythm Chunk Champions at Shore Middle School on the same day. Kamber and Jack both successfully demonstrated college-level rhythm mastery. as 7th graders. They've been racing one another all year and both earned the belt!
