Pain

The cold water does not get warmer if you jump later. While you hesitate, someone with less talent is already in. While you doubt, someone with fewer skills is moving 10x faster. They are not winning because they are better than you. They are winning because you are waiting.

Distance yourself from them. You’re on a different path.

Men can have 2AM work nights, early mornings, dead broke, be in debt, alone, doubted by everyone around them and still have glimmering faith that everything will work out in the end.
