My mama was "dating" a now famous TV judge. He had all the police searching and shit. I walked into the lobby of our apt and everyone was rushing me. I said "I'm hungry". My mama came in sobbing and shit. She was on me as far as a helicopter mama from that day forward.

Same here. I rode the city bus to school in kindergarten, and usually, someone was at my pickup point. Well I waited for like 2 hours with some old ladies. When it finally started getting dark, I walked home. The person to pick me up forgot & my mama was searching every stop b4.
I remember one time my uncle was supposed to pick me up from school, and he forgot the date. I was waiting at school for a while before I decided I was just going to go home myself (I was 5 btw lmao). So I caught the city bus. by myself.
