Here’s tip #1 of 3 from my latest YouTube video “3 tips to hit faster pitching as a slapper” . Slow and controlled through the box gets you on time and allows you to stay in control of your body.

A drill to work on picks at 1st base. Always start in an athletic position, get your glove foot by the ball and work ground up.

How your glove is presented when fielding a ball is very important. Fingers are down and wide open and wrist is flat.

In this drill with my dad, he’s forcing me to move my feet and get around the ball to keep everything moving forward quickly- no backhand. This is the biggest difference between baseball and softball which is the speed of the game and how you play certain balls.

How to check the runner at 3rd. All of this will depend on the game situation. There are certain situations where that runner can absolutely not score so if you have an aggressive/fast runner, fake the throw to get the running leaning or even taking off. SS needs to make sure

One of my favorite drills to work on tracking pitches. 5 softballs fit across the plate. The ball closest to the batter is 1 and the ball the furthest is 5. You will hit normal front toss while also saying which ball, the ball being tossed, is crossing over on the ground. This

A good visual of the importance of hitting your cut off. Runner going home was going to be safe, so 1st baseman cut it off to stop the baserunners from advancing another base. However, and I would never speak ill against the 🐐😏, Ramirez made a poor base running decision and the
