MTU has longstanding links with RTÉ where graduates from our Certificate in Television Production and MA in Journalism gain invaluable work experience. Many have gone on to work with the national broadcaster and in production companies. (2/3).

RTÉ Director General Kevin Bakhurst was in Cork recently to update media stakeholders on the planned expansion of RTÉ Cork over the next two years. This will greatly enhance regional production in drama and factual programming. (1/3)

Last semester, as part of their Controlling Light and Performance Ensemble 3 modules, students worked on an interdisciplinary learning project, supported by the TLU’s Teaching and Learning Development fund. This photographic exhibition is the culmination of this collaboration.

(2/2).The poor quality of transport available for students in the city and county was the topic for debate when MTU Journalism students put questions to Senator Jerry Buttimer and founder of West Cork Connects bus company Damien Long. Both invited guests enjoyed the experience.

The students who are on the Master’s in Journalism and Digital Content Creation course held a Newsday where they put together a ‘live’ radio programme in real time. (1/2)
