This morning we responded to a porch fire on Fellsway West. Luckily a @MassStatePolice Trooper was in the area for road construction, saw the fire, and knocked down most of the flames with an extinguisher prior to our arrival preventing further damage to the home.

We always appreciate the effort the Boston Sparks Association puts in at our incidents and the incredible amount of rehab they provide. They responded to the New Bern Ave fire and not only took some pictures, but provided a wonderful summary of the incident.

Santa Clause arrived in style to last night’s holiday celebration at City Hall. His sleigh was in the shop, and Engine 1 was honored to provide emergency transportation.

Early this morning, Engine 1 and Ladder 2 responded to a rollover with entrapments at Roosevelt Circle onto Westwood Rd. Speed and icy road conditions led to the crash. Three people were extricated from the vehicle with transports to the hospital.

3am this morning in Somerville. Listen to the smoke alarms in the background. If your house catches fire at 3am, you want to be woken up so you and your family have time to escape. Make sure you have working smoke detectors and check the batteries once a month.

Ladder 2 was driving back from a call when they noticed a sale on lemonade too good to pass up. Lt. Lutkevich, FF McMaster, and FF Patton parked the truck and gave some business to these two young entrepreneurs. #community
