As you may imagine, it gets kind of hard to find new things to say about how much you like your own project for 31 days! But man, I love this project. I love Rick's particular brand of helpful shadiness, I love Anastacia's tender gruffness, Lana's bratty optimism...

Yes there IS a new monster every episode - but sometimes maybe the monster is only there to faciltate an episode-length closed room feelings session. Or maybe the monster is actually your inability to communicate (just kidding, it's a ghost who can't talk! but...)

The kind of mystery and monster you want to throw at your protagonists changes a lot when you're in your "meet cute" stage versus your "oh no third act problems that are holding up the kissing" stage - and it also helped free us up to break out of the case of the week box.

Anastacia and Lana's developing relationship is the sping of the show, so naturally when co-writer Phoebe and I were drafting up our 10 episodes the first thing we did was pull a rom com beat sheet.
