If this is a popular assumption, weāre very unpopular, because this is news to us. If anything we grew up appreciating older films and loving many of the ones we grew up with.
I think there's a popular assumption that as films age, we're supposed to be more critical of them or not appreciate them as much. But there are many films I just grow even fonder of as the years progress.
