You never know who is going to visit our stall when we are at events. Kids always enjoy our bee activity trail but it is very hard to compete with Noodle, Nugget and Perry!

1,000 additional litres of glyphosate used in the city last year, despite 97,000 people signing a petition to get it banned. The majority of our wildflowers sown on our streets have been destroyed. @CllrMajid when is this going to stop? .@BeeFriendlyBrum

Five years ago today we set up The Patchwork Meadow to brighten up our urban neighbourhoods and bring back the bees. Since then we've given out and sown 7,607 sq.m of wildflowers across Birmingham. Many thanks to everyone who has supported us. Happy #nationalmeadowsday

These students did an amazing job, clearing and sowing wildflower seeds in the grounds of the Assessment Centre at HMP Winson Green; brightening up the area and bringing back the bees.

If only all of our streets were like this, sharing seeds, plants and books and composting waste. We were delighted to be able to donate wildflower seeds to give out to all the residents at their recent street party. Link Rd is going to be a haven for pollinators.

We hopefully helped to make this lovely space at Aquarius, the service that supports children and young people affected by substance misuse, even more beautiful, by sowing lots of wildflowers today.

We had great fun making seed-balls at 'Lark in the Park' arranged by the Friends of Manor Farm Park. The Friends' Group do such a good job arranging activities and helping to look after the park. Lovely to share a stall with @coopuk who have supported us this year.

So lovely to be sent these photos from Sabrina and Noah who visited this pocket meadow in Seven Streets Park in Balsall Heath, that they helped to sow last autumn.

Usually, the ladybirds appear once our seeds have flowered. Today, this one seemed to be attracted to our ladybird gloves, whilst we were making our seed-balls at the Weoley Castle Earth Festival.
