Yesterday, our 7th grade class officer candidates took the podium to deliver their campaign speeches. Promises ranged from more activity nights, to an elevated class trip experience, and even a few new ice cream flavors in the cafeteria! Congratulations to all who ran for office!

Today, Fr. Pat Nolan, S.J., Director of Vocations for the Jesuits USA East Province, visited McQuaid to celebrate a special morning Mass with our community. Fr. Nolan met with middle school and high school students to talk about what it truly means to be a Jesuit.

During Flex, the Middle School Mission & Ministry Club wrote Veterans Day cards for McQuaid alumni who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. The group also watched a video featuring veterans reflecting on the significance of the day.

McQuaid’s College Advisement Office welcomes reps from 130+ colleges each year. Today, 13 schools joined us in Keenan Hall for a mini fair, providing another chance for our students to explore options and find their perfect college fit.

A new one-day installment has come to life in the Wegman Family STEM Center. Students have created a challenging 12-hole mini golf course! From spinning obstacles to treacherous drops, these greens are sure to test even the most seasoned golfers.

This past Friday, 21 seniors took part in Wilderness 15 with a hike at Chimney Bluffs. During the trip, students reflected in small groups on the presence of God in their lives and set aside their phones to appreciate the sights and sounds of His creation.

Introducing “The Big Picture.” Created by Art 8 students, this collaborative piece is the result of an artistic dialogue. The finished work is more than just layers of imagery, it showcases how individual voices come together to form something greater.

Today during Flex, McQuaid hosted the annual Activities Fair! With more than 40 extracurricular clubs, students have the chance to explore their passions outside of the classroom. There are many opportunities in the arts, sciences, government, engineering, or just for fun.

7th graders spent their Mission Day serving across the community. They visited Wilson Commencement Park, REACH, Seton Catholic School, the School of the Holy Childhood, and Veterans Outreach Center. Students cleaned up, put together bags of food, read to children, and more!
