BREAKING: Shortstop Willy Adames and the San Francisco Giants are in agreement on a seven-year, $182 million contract, the largest deal in franchise history, sources tell ESPN. Adames, 29, had a career-best 32 home runs and 112 RBIs in 2024. The deal is pending a physical.

The Giants are interested in Corbin Burnes, as reported by @Feinsand. Unlike some teams pursuing Burnes, the Giants are not linked to Juan Soto and can allocate greater financial resources to Burnes now. Then again, Soto and Burnes have the same agent. Burnes likely will have.

The San Francisco Giants are hiring Bobby Evans and Jeff Berry as advisors to new president of baseball operations Buster Posey, sources tell ESPN. Evans was a longtime Giants executive who served as their GM from 2015-18. Berry was Posey’s agent who left CAA earlier this year.
