Today, we are pleased that all of our products have passed rigorous testing. Our production is now back in full swing and your safety remains our number one priority.

Here are some measures we have since introduced to ensure greater protection on our farm: · daily lab testing of product samples. · enhanced maintenance and cleaning procedures for irrigation equipment.

Before the recall, we already went above and beyond the minimal requirement when it comes to food safety standards. We have now strengthened our safety measures further to prevent a recurrence of this situation in the future.

We fully understand that the recall has caused concern. We pride our family business on the quality of our produce and take utmost care when it comes to health and safety.

This led us to the irrigation pipe we only used to water the crop in question. Once tested, this returned a positive result for Listeria. This happened despite a recent significant investment in irrigation system upgrades, including a UV treatment plant.

This included all food contact surfaces, all batches of products in stock, every piece of packing and harvesting equipment. Initial tests confirmed no Listeria presence, so we kept investigating until we found where the problem started.

We then carried out an extensive investigation to identify the source of the problem. Well over 100 samples were taken between ourselves and DAFM and tested in an independent laboratory.

Here’s what happened: On 27.07, our product testing flagged Listeria Monocytogenes in a batch of our produce. We immediately started a recall, contacted DAFM and FSAI and withdrew the affected product from the supply chain.

As you are aware, we had a recent product recall. 1st of all, thanks to FSAI and DAFM for their support and assistance in communicating the recall. After a thorough investigation, we want to explain what happened and what we are doing about it.
