I wonder if the @NAOorgUK will be taking a look at the "independence' of the IFS report on removing VAT exemption on education? Seems like it relies on weak, outdated data and isn't remotely independent, despite MP's telling us it is. @EducationNotTax #EducationNotTax

Creation Financial Services are closing accounts based on historical use of @imaginecurve on their cards. It's one thing to restrict transactions but to close the underlying account seems over the top. Not good for Curve or innovation in general if others do the same.

UPDATED Nearly two million self-employed people will get no help from the scheme announced last night. It is wrong to say only 5% are left out. It is about a third including people who have started self employment this tax year and those who make too little to pay tax.

3/4 The line about the self-employed having to pay the same as the employed was cynical. Add up what I create in Corp Tax + VAT + my personal tax and it comes to a hell of a lot more than I would pay as a fully salaried employee on the same money......

2/4 Meanwhile if you are genuinely out of work, took a dividend and generated a shed load of money for the exchequer through Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE and Dividend Tax then you'll get nothing........

So @woodfordfunds is being wound up as I suggested in June. Big questions for @TheFCA & @HLInvest to answer. How did the fund go from 10% to 90% illiquid with no flags being raised? Were @HLInvest incompetent or complicit in shilling the fund? Fees being drawn to liquidation?

How can @woodfordfunds announce a trading suspension on Monday night but apply that suspension retrospectively on deals placed right back to Friday that they have sat on for two entire trading days? @TheFCA Liquidate it at current value and payout if things are that bad.
